“苍穹动摇时，我放声大笑，挥开如意金箍棒，打它个地覆天也翻。”小时候，我最喜欢大闹天宫时的孙悟空。天要压我我便毁天，地若困我我便毁地，生来自由岂能困我？这世间还有什么能阻挡住此时的孙悟空呢？

可后来在创作的时候，我并不只想表现孙悟空好斗的一面，偷吃金丹的嚣张、偷尝蟠桃的顽皮也都呈现在画作中。在京剧中，此时的孙悟空是大武生的形象，他的靠（铠甲）、护背旗，都表现出威武之气，浓缩了灵动、英武的独特美感，这也是我想在作品中表达的。

孙悟空不甘受制于天命，勇敢挑战天宫。他独闯九重天，不畏强权，挑战三清、四值、五方、六壬，与强大的力量展开了震撼天地的较量。

这是英勇、机敏和充满智慧的猴王挑战权威、颠覆秩序的传奇，他将金箍棒竖起，这一动作既是不惧挑战的姿态，也是对自身权威的宣告与确信，将睥睨天下的王者气质展露无遗。

'When the heavens tremble, I roar with laughter, wielding the Golden Cudgel to turn the earth upside down and the sky inside out.' As a child, my favorite incarnation of Sun Wukong was the one who wreaked havoc in Heaven. If the sky sought to crush me, I would shatter the sky; if the earth sought to trap me, I would sunder the earth—born free, how could I ever be confined? In all the world, what could possibly stand in the way of the Monkey King at this moment?

Yet, in my creative process, I did not wish to portray only his combative side. The arrogance of stealing the Elixir of Immortality and the mischievousness of tasting the Forbidden Peaches are also woven into the canvas. In Peking Opera, Sun Wukong at this stage is embodied as a Da Wusheng (lead martial role). His Kao (heavy armor) and Hubeiqi (back-protecting flags) radiate a majestic aura, distilling a unique aesthetic of fluid, heroic gallantry—this is precisely what I strive to capture.

Refusing to be bound by celestial fate, he boldly challenged the Heavens. He stormed the Nine Layers of Clouds alone, undaunted by supreme power, defying the Three Pure Ones, the Four Values, the Five Directions, and the Six Liu—a world-shaking confrontation against the mightiest forces of the universe.

This is the legend of a brave, agile, and wise King challenging authority and upending the cosmic order. As he plants his Golden Cudgel upright, the gesture is both a stance of defiance and a declaration of his own sovereignty, revealing an unparalleled majesty that looks down upon the world with disdain.
