These works capture a series of heroic moments from Sun Wukong’s havoc in the Celestial Court. His piercing, formidable aura surges from the tip of the Golden Cudgel, striking directly toward the Southern Heavenly Gate (Nantianmen). Rather than depicting the gate itself, I chose to convey its presence indirectly through Wukong’s expression and posture. The four flags looming faintly behind him further amplify the sense of majestic, sweeping power.

The art of traditional opera places great value on Liubai (negative space), metaphor, and symbolism. Thus, I have employed expansive areas of 'void' within the paintings to evoke a profound atmosphere where 'the words may end, but the meaning remains infinite.'
